Klara Vogel, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.


Klara Vogel, M.D., F.A.C.O.G. knew early in her life that she wanted to be involved in medicine. By eighth grade she was volunteering in the local community hospital in the Labor and Delivery ward. “I love working with and helping women, enjoy staying up-to-date on scientific research, and working with my hands.” As a medical student at the Mayo Clinic her teachers and mentors solidified her interest in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Consistent with her passion to help women, Dr. Vogel has a wide array of interests in her field including general obstetrics, women’s health, menopause, osteoporosis, high risk pregnancy, and infertility. Her commitment to helping all women in need has taken her abroad to Mongolia and other developing countries where she volunteered performing 4-5 life saving surgeries per day. She was recognized by Medicine for Humanity with an award for “Ethics and Humanism in Medicine”.

Additionally, Dr. Vogel was awarded the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists Award of Excellence in Endoscopy and the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Award of Excellence in Colposcopy. Also, she serves on the Perinatal Committee at Providence Saint John’s hospital.

Back home in Southern California where she grew up and still resides, she is a mother of three children. She enjoys hiking with her dog, cooking and reading. With her family, Dr. Vogel enjoys traveling and exploring the cultures, sites, and foods of other countries.

Dr. Vogel graduated with honors from Emory University and then attended medical school at the Mayo Clinic. During her residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center she was Chief Resident
